Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!! Today we are going to talk about how to layer a cake!

ree

Before we get started, lets talk about what usually goes into a cake:

"a flour confection made from flour, sugar, and other ingredients and is usually baked. In their oldest forms, cakes were modifications of bread, but cakes now cover a wide range of preparations that can be simple or elaborate and which share features with desserts such as pastries, meringues, custards, and pies.

The most common ingredients include flour, sugar, eggs, fat (such as butter, oil, or margarine), a liquid, and a leavening agent, such as baking soda or baking powder."

Now that we know what a cake is usually made out if, we need to understand what the difference is between the layers of a cake and a tiered cake.

To understand this, here is a helpful infographic:

For more helpful info here is another explanation:

To build a layered cake, you will need to do the following steps:

  1. Bake the cakes

You will need to bake your cakes in baking pans. Once you have done that put them on a rack to cool down.
